After a generally pleasant day yesterday this morning’s observations show that the air pressure is reducing slowly and that the radar images clearly indicate two bands of rain that will pass through our area this morning.
The risk of rain (90%) is during the morning commute and up to around 10:30 hours. Some of the rainfall (not continuous) between 08:30 and 09:00 hours looks dense on the radar images and, therefore, could be heavy.
This afternoon the day will be dry and with the odd brighter spell. Tonight will also be partly cloudy which will allow the air temperature to reduce a little lower than of late.
Our top temperature today will be around 17c and overnight, with a lighter cloud cover, the overnight minimum temperature will be around 10c.
Today’s breeze will be deriving from the SSW. The average speed will be around 5-6mph.
Summary: A high risk of rain this morning but mild throughout the day. Improving picture this afternoon.
