Today, as it is my mom’s birthday, I need the weather to follow in a suitable celebratory style and, despite the fact that we are near the end of October, it will be trying its best to assist.
The morning has seen some early rain but this system (by 06:30 hours) had generally moved away from our area. We may see the odd sprinkle of drizzle during our commute to work but the risk is only around 25%.
At the same time the surface air pressure will be rising rapidly and will reach around 1020mb by lunchtime. The high pressure system will bring with it some dry and occasionally bright weather for the remainder of the day. The risk of rain after 10:00 hours is around 8%.
Our top temperature today will be around 15-16c and overnight the minimum temperature will be round 10c.
Today’s breeze will be very gentle affair. The wind will be deriving, in the main, from the WSW. The average wind speed will be around 4-5mph.
Summary: After some early rain a generally dry day will follow. Some bright spells will develop too.
