Once again the early hours saw some rain fall in our area (around 1mm) but as the day passes the risk of rain reduces.
The rain radar images are showing (at the time of my observations) that there is some rain cloud to the west of our region but this will be clear of our patch by 10:00 hours. The risk of rain before then is around 45%.
By 11:00 hours it will be a cool but bright morning. The air temperature will only be around 6-7c and with the wind chill this will feel more like 3c.
Today’s wind will be deriving mainly from the cool NW-N and the average wind speed will be around 8mph.
Overnight we can expect the air temperature to reduce to around 1c. We can, therefore, expect to find a frost in the morning.
Summary: An often bright but cool day.
