Getting cooler today (WS7 weather report 16-11-2017)

smalllogoThere will be some air pressure and jet stream changes today that will bring some high surface air pressure to our area.

This high surface pressure will bring a clearer sky and lower air temperatures this evening.  The temperatures will be lower than those we have enjoyed more recently.

This morning will see cloud cover increase and the rain radar images are showing two clusters of rain that could bring some precipitation to our area.  The first will arrive just after 09:00 hours and bring a 25% risk of rain.  The second, late morning / lunchtime, will bring a 60% risk of rain.

Once these systems have passed the cloud will dissipate as the afternoon passes and the air temperature will reduce into mid to low single figures.  Our top temperature today will be around 11c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 3c.  At 18:00 hours the air temperature will have reduced to around 5-6c.

Today’s breeze will be mainly from a WSW-WNW arc.  The average wind speed will be around 5mph.

Summary: A mild start with some risk of rain.  Becoming brighter and cooler later.
