Shopping dash weather (WS7 weather report 23-12-2017)

smalllogo

Today starts off mild with the air temperature at 07:20 hours already a very pleasant 7.5c.  The air pressure is currently high and although it will reduce from around 1033mb to 1028mb by the end of the day it will remain generally dry but often cloudy.

The risk of any measurable rain is around 15%.  This mild and stable weather bodes well for all that are using today to carry out their Christmas shopping.

Our top temperature will be around 10c and overnight the minimum will be around 8c.  This, again, is very similar to this time last year.

What is also similar to this time last year is an increase in wind speed over the next day or so.

Today will see the WSW breeze average a speed of around 6-7mph (increasing slightly as the air pressure reduces during the day) with gust speeds up to 15-20 mph

This breezy interlude will remain with us throughout the Christmas period.  On Christmas day last year the wind speed was around 10-15mph.  We can expect a similar outcome this year.

Summary: Often cloudy but generally dry and mild.
