By the time of my observations (approx 08:45 hours) we had already received 2mm of rain in our area and, whilst it was still very overcast, the radar images showed that the bulk of the rain cloud had passed beyond our area by 09:00 hours.
There is still a risk of some further light rain before 10:00 hour but beyond then the cloud will begin to thin and we may even see the odd brighter spell. Late tonight / overnight a further threat of rain (around 75%) will present itself in our patch.
It will be cool during daylight hours today with top temperature of around 4c. Overnight will also see a similar air temperature before soaring tomorrow, as the day passes, towards 9-10c.
Today’s breeze will start off light but as the day passes and the air pressure changes we should see an increase in wind speed. It may be quite breezy at times with the average speed of around 9mph. The wind will be mostly deriving from a SSE-SW arc.
Summary: A very overcast start but becoming bright and breezy. More rain late evening / overnight.
