Some early rain (WS7 weather report 6-1-2018)

The air pressure will rapidly rise today and by midnight it will have climbed up to around 1024mb from, the at observation reading, of 1009mb.

In general this means that it will be an improving picture, weather wise, but firstly we will have a few showers to encounter this morning.  The rain radar images are showing that there are some rain clouds passing through our area around from 09:00 hours.  The risk of further rain today is 67%.  The rain will be generally clear of our area by 11:00 hours.

Thereon we can expect some brighter spells to develop but it will be cool with a northerly breeze.  Our top temperature will only be around 5c and overnight we can expect temperatures to fall to around freezing point.  Last night’s minimum temperature was -0.3c at 04:59 hours.  Tomorrow will be clear, cool and bright.

Today’s breeze will be deriving from the N-NE and the average wind speed will be around 5-6mph.

If you have chance take a moment to read my memories of a famous Walsall FC FA cup night.

Summary: Morning cloud and rain giving way to an improving picture as the day develops.
