The air pressure at the time of my observations (approximately 06:20 hours) was steady at nearly 1026mb. This level of air pressure normally indicates a generally dry day and today will be no exception.
Today will only see a 12% risk of any rain despite often being cloudy. The cloud will, generally, be at medium or high heights.
Our top temperature today will be around 6c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 4c.
An interesting “weather twist” to the day will be a closing up of the spaces between the points of similar air pressure. This will lead to increased wind speeds as the day passes. The generally SE breeze will be a light whisper first thing this morning increasing to around 7mph later in the evening.
Over the next few days we will see a gradual increase in the wind speeds with Monday and Tuesday currently looking quite breezy (and at times wet).
As a point of interest this day last year saw a smattering of snow fall in our area.
Summary: A generally dry and often cloudy day.
