The air pressure, at the time of my observations, was reducing rapidly and had already fallen below the 1000mb mark. Regular readers will know that anytime we see the barometer reading fall below 1000mb then inclement weather is likely.
Today is no exception with wind and rain showers the order of the day. Overnight 1.2mm of rain has fallen in our area and during the remainder of the day we can expect up to 3-4mm to accumulate. It is highly likely we will be making our commute with some level of rain falling. Regular showers (often light) during the remainder of the day can be expected. The heaviest rain is, however, likely during the morning.
Our top temperature, due to the warm SW/SSW breeze, will be around 8-9c but overnight, with a wind shift towards the W, the air temperature is likely to reduce to a low of around 2-3c.
Today will often be breezy with the average wind speed around 10mph. Gust speeds of about 25-28mph could also be reached.
Summary: Rain showers during the morning reducing in frequency and volume as the day passes. Remaining breezy throughout.
