As I write this blog (at approximately 07:10 hours) the air pressure is reducing rapidly and the rain radar images are showing that there is a widespread band of rain about to pass thorough our area.
The good news is that the radar is showing that the rain, in general, is going to be generally light to moderate. Rain will be a 85% risk between 07:30 hours until around 10:30 hours. The remainder of the day will then be generally overcast but mild.
This time last year we were in the throes of a cold spell with the air temperature at 06:31 hours a very cool -3.1c. in contrast, today will see our top temperature reach around the 10c mark and even overnight, due to the warm SW breeze, the air temperature will be around 7-8c.
It will be breezy at times with the average wind speed around 10mph. The wind will be deriving from a SSW-WSW arc.
Summary: Early rain clearing to leave a mild but mildly breezy day.
