Double figures (WS7 weather report 28-1-2018)

It is an extremely mild start to the day with the air temperature already (at 08:30 hours) into double figures.

The day will reach a top temperature of around 12-13c and even overnight the minimum temperature will only be around 10c.  2011 was the last very cold day in my records book.  The air temperature at the time of my early morning observations was -0.6c.  Today will be a lot different to that!

It will, however, be a generally cloudy day with a steady SSW-SW breeze.  The wind will be blowing at an average speed of around 10-11mph.  The highest speed so far (before 08:30 hours) today was 21mph at 06:36 hours.

Tomorrow will see more rain cloud reach our area and we are likely to be making our commute to work in some rain.

The risk of rain today, however, is very low at around 25%.  You may fee the odd spot of “drizzle” in the air but I. do not expect to record any measurable rain.

Summary: AOften cloudy day but mild and slighlty breezy.
