We have another cool day set out for us today although we will see plenty of brighter spells too.Care will have to be taken on untreated roads and paths as there could be some icy pataches.
This morning (during commute time) the radar images are showing a few sleet showers passing just to the south of our area and so it is possible we may catch the odd isolated shower. The greater risk of some precipitation today is around midday and then around 18:00 hours. Each risk of precipitation is no greater than 40%.
It will be the a cool day with the steady NW wind making the top temperature of 5-6c feel more like 1c with the wind chill. Overnight the minimum air temperature will be around 2c.
The wind will start the day off from the WSW but as the morning passes the derivation will move clockwise towards the NW. Today’s average wind speed will be around 8mph.
Summary: Plenty of bright spells with the risk of the odd localised wintry shower. A cool day with a steady NW breeze.
