Possibly some sleet (WS7 weather report 9-2-2018)


It is a damp start to the morning with some overnight and early morning having already accumulated in the area.  So far around 4mm of rain has fallen in our area in the last 24 hours.

The rain radar images show that there is around a 70% risk of further rain and even possibly sleet showers before 10:00 hours.  From thereon the day will become brighter but will remain cool.

Our top temperature today will ber around 4c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 0c.

Todays’s breeze will start off from the WSW but we will see and feel the wind shift towards the cooler WNW-NW as the day passes.  It will be breezy at times with an average wind speed of 8mph.  At this wind speed the wind chill will make 4c feel more like 1.3c.

Tomorrow sees further periods of rain during most of the daylight hours.

Summary: A damp start and cool.  Sleet and further rain probable this morning before brightening by lunchtime.
