After a few recent cold mornings today will provide a much more pleasant walk to work or school although there are still the odd rain cloud or two hanging around until about 08:00 hours. These clouds will present only a 32% risk of rain.
The remainder of the day will see rising air pressure (up to around 1016mb by the close of play) and some bright spells. The risk of any rain will reduce to about 8%. Our top temperature will be around 6 possibly 7c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around freezing point (thanks to clear spells overnight).
Because of the changing air pressure we also will see some breezy spells during the day. The WSW derived breeze will “blow” at an average speed of around 7-8mph. This will reduce the feel of the 6c air temperature to around 3.9c (using the Steadmann method of calculation).
Summary: A milder start although damp underfoot. Becoming bright, possibly breezy and dry.
