Best of the week (WS7 weather report 14-3-2018)

The surface air pressure was slowly reducing at the time of my observations and will continue to do so throughout the day.  By the end of the day our air pressure will, once again, be below the 1000mb mark (around 992mb) and we will be at high risk of receiving more rain tomorrow (80% risk).

The risk of any rain today is only 7%.

Today, however, we will have some bright spells this morning and a mild top air temperature of around 10c. Overnight will also remain mild at around 7c.  (Last night’s low was 1.1c at 02:54 hours). Today will be the best weather day of the week so, if you have plans to get out and about or work in the garden, today is your day.

A noticeable feature of the day will be an increase in the wind speed as the points of air pressure get closer together as the day passes.  Our average wind speed by mid afternoon will be around 10mph with gusts of around 25mph.  The wind will be deriving from the SE.

Summary: A mild but becoming breezy day.  Remaining dry.

Observations made on 14/3/2018 at 06:32 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.
Temperature : 3.2c; Air pressure : 1003.9mb reducing slowly; Relative humidity 92%; Wind : 2 mph SE; Rain this month : 43.4 mm; Rain this year : 129.4mm
