Pre holiday rain (WS7 weather report 29-3-2018)

For many, today is the last day at work or school before the Easter holiday but I cannot promise you too much in the way of fine weather.

The radar images are showing that rain clouds will move into our area from a generally southerly direction as the day passes.  Whilst our commute this morning may only see the odd light localised shower (35% risk)  by late morning and certainly by mid afternoon we are 80% likely of receiving some widespread rainfall.  As the evening passes the rain cloud will move away leaving us with a dry spell overnight.

Our rainfall, so far this month, is already 13% above average in our area and we still have a few more days to come.

Our top temperature today will be around 7-8c and overnight the low will be around 3c.

Today’s breeze will be deriving from the SE and the average wind speed will be around 5mph.

Summary: Cloud cover will increase as the morning passes eventually bringing widespread rain.
