A rainy month (WS7 weather report 11-4-2018)


It was certainly a wet day yesterday with 8.2mm of rain falling in our area. So far this month nearly 40mm of rain has fallen in our area.

During today’s morning commute we are likely to see some further rain showers but the good news is that we are on the northern edge of the rain cloud and we will miss the largest part of the  system.  The risk of rain around 08:00 hours is about 80%.  From late morning onward the risk of rain reduces to around 20%.

Today will be generally cloudy with a top temperature of around 10c.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 7c.

Today’s wind will be deriving from the cool N-NE and the average wind speed will be around 6mph with gusts of around 12mph.

Summary: Rain likely during the morning commute.  Clearing by mid morning to leave a cloudy day.
