It was a dull and dismal start to the day when I made my observations at approximately 06:30 hours. Whilst it was not raining there was dampness in the air.
The risk of measurable rain today is around 30% but we can expect some misty drizzle on regular occasions. In places, due to the low wind speed, mist patches will also form. It will be a generally cloudy day with very few opportunities for brighter spells to develop.
Our top temperature today will be around 10c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 6c.
Today’s wind will be deriving from the cool NE/NNE and the average wind speed will be around 5mph.
Looking ahead I can see some good weather news looming on the horizon. By Tuesday / Wednesday next week the jet stream will form an Omega look above and around the UK. This will allow high pressure systems to develop and we will see the air temperature touch around the 20c mark!
