Blue sky (WS7 weather report 14-5-2018)

A beautiful blue sky greeted us this morning and the radar images suggest we are set for plenty of sunshine today – hurrah!

At 06:30 hours the barometer was reading nearly 1021mb and the synoptic charts suggest that the air pressure will remain high today and, in fact, for the next few days in our area.  The risk of any rain in our area today is around 4%.

Today’s top temperature will be around 20c and overnight, with an often clear sky, the minimum temperature will be around 8-10c.

Today’s breeze will be light and deriving from the NW.  The average wind speed will be around 4-5mph.

The only downside, if there is one, of the next few days is that the pollen count will be high.  If you are going to spend some extended time outside you will also need to use some sun protection as the UV is at index 6.  This is regarded as high.

Summary: An often bright and mild day.
