Nearly 10c lower (WS7 weather report 16-5-2018)

After yesterday’s mostly sunny day when the top temperature reached 22.3c (mid to late afternoon) today will be a much cooler and cloudier affair.

Today’s top temperature will only be around 13-14c which will be nearly 10c lower than yesterday.  You will need your jacket or cardigan today.

There will be plenty of cloud cover throughout the day and the rain radar images are showing some precipitation to the W of our region.  There is a 30% risk that we may catch one of the edges of these systems this morning although any rain that did fall would be light and probably short-lived.

Our overnight temperature will only be around 6-7c.  This will, at least, allow to sleep at little more comfortably.

Today’s wind will be deriving from a WNW to NNE arc.  This wind direction will bring with it cooler air.  The average wind speed will be around 6-8mph.

Summary: A cooler day with plenty of cloud cover.  A generally dry day with just a small risk of rain this morning.
