Set fair for the weekend? (WS7 weather report 18-5-2018)

Once again we are treated to a lovely bright start to the day.  The air temperature at approximately 06;30 was cool at only 4.5c but the day will soon warm up.

The synoptic charts show that we have a system of high pressure set over our area today and for the rest of the weekend.  Couple this with the radar and satellite tracking information and all indications are that we are set for a lovely mild and bright weekend.

Our top temperature today will be around 18c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 10c.

Today’s breeze will be very light due to the stable air pressure system.  The average wind speed will be around 2-3mph.  The wind will be deriving from a WNW -ESE arc.

With the dry and bright weather comes an increase in the UV risk which today will be at factor 6 around midday.  The pollen count will be moderate.

Summary:A bright but cool start to the day.  Some cloud cover later but with only a 3% risk of rain.
