By the time of my observations (approximately 06:30 hours) 4.8mm of rain had fallen in our area. The radar images strongly suggest that we will encounter some further periods of rain during the morning commute to work and up to the period just before lunchtime. Some of the radar patches look dense so, in some places, the rain could be heavy.
The risk of further rain this morning is 95%.
It will be a generally cloudy day with a top temperature of around 16c. Overnight will remain mild at around 12-13c.
Today’s breeze will be deriving from the N-NE and the average wind speed will be around 5-6mph.
Looking ahead. We will see a return to dry weather over the bank holiday weekend with the air temperature above 20c.
Summary: A morning of rain. Some of which could be heavy. Becoming dry during the afternoon and throughout the night. A little cooler than of late with a top temperature of 16c.
