After Storm Hector (WS7 weather report 15-6-2018)

smalllogoAfter yesterday’s breezy interlude (which was caused by the low pressure system named Storm Hector) today returns to much calmer and milder weather.  The surface air pressure will remain around 1016mb in our area today.

Our top temperature today will be around 18-19c and overnight we can expect the minimum temperature to be around the 11c mark.  Last night the minimum temperature attained was 10.2c at 04:20 hours.

Today’s breeze will be light with an average speed of between 4-7mph.  The breeze will be deriving from the SW.

There is a risk of some rain in our area late morning although we will still see some brighter spells.  The risk of rain today is around 33%.  The risk of rain does, however, increase during the early hours and first thing tomorrow morning to up to 55%.

Summary: A far less breezy day today.  Some bright spells breaking through a partly cloudy sky.  A low risk of some rain late morning.
