What’s the risk of rain today? (WS7 weather report 11-8-2018)

smalllogoAnother bright start greets us this morning although, like yesterday, it is cooler than of late. At 08:30 hours the air temperature was only 13.1c and at 05:58 hours we dipped down to 9c. This is very similar to the previous two years.

As the day passes we can expect the cloud cover to thicken a bit and by early evening there is a risk of some rain (around a 40% risk before tea time with this risk increasing to around 77% during early to mid evening).

It will be mild but not hot day.  Our top temperature will be around 20c.  Overnight the minimum temperature will also remain mild at around 15-16c.  This higher air temperature overnight will be due to a blanket of cloud cover that is likely to deliver some rain.

Today’s breeze will be arriving from the SW and the average wind speed will be around 6mph. We will notice that as the air pressure reduces later in the day the wind will increase in speed.

Summary : Another bright start to a day.  Cloud increasing later increasing the risk of more rain today to 77%.
