It is a wet start to the day with some early morning rain having already fallen in our area by the time I made my observations at approximately 07:12 hours. The rain radar images clearly show that there is a high risk (around 93%) of some further rainfall in our area by 8:30 hours. Looking at the density on the radar some of the rain could be moderate to heavy.
After 10:30 hours the risk of rain will reduce to about 45% but we are still likely to see some occasional showers through, what will become, a partly fragmented sky.
Our top temperature today will be around 19c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 14c. Last night’s minimum temperature was 15.7c at 03:03 hours.
Today’s breeze will be deriving mostly from the SW. The average wind speed will be around 7mph with gusts speeds of around 20-21 mph reached later in the day.
Summary : A rainy start with a high risk of some moderate to possibly heavy showers this morning. Rain risk reducing as the day passes.
