Air pressure change today (WS7 weather report 15-8-2018)

smalllogoThere will be a gradual change in the surface air pressure as the day passes today.  Starting off at around 1015.3mb the air pressure will reduce to around 1012mb by midnight.

This subtle change will help bring a constant breeze and a high risk of rain tonight / overnight. During the daylight hours the risk of rain is only around 25% but the risk of rain in the early hours increase to around 85%.  The rain will derive from the W reaching the coast of Wales around mid to late afternoon.

Today will be another mild day with the top temperature around 21-22c.  Whilst we will see plenty of cloud some brighter spells will be able to break through from time to time.   Overnight the minimum air temperature will be around 16c.

Today’s breeze will be blowing at an average speed of around 6-7mph this morning increasing towards 10-12mph as the day reaches early evening.

Summary : A generally dry and mild day with a steady SW-WSW breeze.  Some rain likely late tonight / overnight.
