smalllogo

It was quite breezy when I made my observations at approximately 06:20 hours this morning.  The SW wind was blowing at an average speed of around 8mph with gust speeds of around 20mph.

As the day passes the wind speed will steadily decrease (t oan averagr around 6mph) but it will still remain  on the breezy side.

The rain radar images are showing that the largest body of rain is just to the north of our region.  We will see some light showers this morning, however, the accumulation will not be great (0.5mm to 1mm max).  Further rain is likely later tonight / in the early hours of tomorrow.  The risk of some rain in our area today is 83%.

It will, however, be a mild day.  The air temperature at 06:20 hours was already above 17c and the temperature at midnight was 16.5c.  Today’s top temperature will be around 18c.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 12c.

Summary for today : A breezy day but mild with the risk of some light rain.
