Breezy time (WS7 weather report 18-9-2018)

smalllogoIt is quite a breezy start to the day with wind speeds averaging around 15mph and gust speeds into the late 20s.  This breezy picture will continue for a few days as the points of similar air pressure will remain tightly spaced.  The synoptic charts are suggesting that it will remain breezy until around the 26th of the month.

Along with the breeze is some mild air and the air temperature at 06:30 hours this morning was already nearly 18c.  We can expect our top temperature today to be around 19c.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 14c.

The rain radar images are showing that there will be some light rain cloud passing through our area during the morning commute.  This system will bring a 47% risk of some rain to our area.  As the day passes we are also likely to see some bright spells develop too.

Today’s breeze will be deriving from the SSW-SW and the average wind speed will be around 12-15mph.

Summary for today : A breezy day with some bright spells during the day.  A slight risk of light rain this morning.
