Today is the inaugural annual art fayre in Lichfield and so I am pleased to say that the weather gods are going to bless their event with some fine, if at times cool, weather. You can read more details about the festival here.
This morning starts off around 10c cooler than observations I made around 1 hour earlier in the day on the previous two years. In 2016 the air temperature was 14.7c at 06:26 hours whilst last year the air temperature was 15.1c at 06:36 hours. In contrast the air temperature was a crisp 4.1c at 07:20 hours this morning.
It will, however, be a generally bright day with only a 5% risk of any rain. Our top temperature will be around 15-16c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 8c.
The barometer will show a reducing value as the day passes but this change will not be significant enough to either a) bring any high winds or b) bring rain over the rest of the weekend. We are, however, likely to see an increase in cloud cover tomorrow.
Today’s breeze will be deriving from the SW-W and the average wind speed will be around 4mph.
Summary for today : Another cool start to the day but remaining bright and dry.
