A new month is now with us and an autumnal feel definitely in the air, well, for today at least.

Today starts off cool with the air temperature at 06:30 hours only at 5.5c.  The good news is that the day will warm up to around 13c by lunchtime.  Tonight will see the air pressure change a little and this will bring a change in wind the direction and, with it, bring some warmer air.  The overnight low will be around 10c.

We will see some clear sunny spells today but, as the day passes and the wind direction changes, the cloud cover will increase.  This cloud cover will bring a 12% risk of rain today during daylight hours and a 50% risk of rain late tonight / overnight.

This morning’s breeze will only blow at around 4-5mph but ir will be bringing cool air from the NW.  As the afternoon passes the wind direction will move towards the WNW / W.  This wind direction will be signalled by greater cover.  As the evennig passes the average wind speed will increase to 8mph.

Summary for today : Often bright during daylight hours with temperatures average for the time of year.  Some rain possible late tonight / overnight.
