Warm today but what about Friday? (WS7 weather report 10-10-2018)

It was a slightly cooler start to the day at 06:30 hours this morning with the air temperature only 7.2c.  This is still relatively mild and pretty typical of what we can expect for this time of year.

What will be a little unusual will be the warm air temperature that will break the 20c barrier today (high 21-22c).  The feeling of a pleasant day will be assisted by plenty of clear sky and a warm wind from the SE.

Tonight / overnight will also remain mild with the minimum temperature around 13c.  The risk of rain today is only around 5%.

There is, however, a significant change ahead in the weather pattern.  A low pressure system is building up in the SW and this will bring high wind speeds and some rain to the UK on Friday.  I will talk more about this is the days ahead.

Today’s breeze will be deriving from a SE/ESE arc and the average wind speed will be around 6mph.

Summary for today : A bright and warm day with no significant risk of rain.
