Tina’s birthday weather (WS7 weather report 11-10-2018)

smalllogo

After yesterday’s balmy day with a top temperature of 21.5c at around 16:00 hour today will be a little cooler.

The air pressure, at 06:40 hours (approximately) had reduced to below 1000mb which usually signifies rain is likely.  Today is no exception to this rule.

The highest risk of any rain in our area today is from mid to late afternoon and through to early evening (localised showers may fall before then).  The risk of rain during the later period can be estimated at around 80%.  The rain will be arriving in our area from the W.  Rain is likely in mid Wales from early afternoon.  Overnight and during the early hours the wind speed will also increase and tomorrow (Friday) will be a wet and breezy day throughout.

Today’s top temperature will be around 16-17c and overnight the minimum will be a mild 12-13c.

Today’s breeze will be deriving from predominantly a SE/SW arc and the average wind speed will be around 8mph with gust speeds of around 20mph.  Overnight and tomorrow we could see gust speeds reach 35mph.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to wish Tina, my wife, a very happy birthday!

Summary for today : A mostly dry start to the day but the cloud will be increasing from the west and will, eventually, bring some rain.
