Cool wind (WS7 weather report 22-10-2018)

Once again we are in the middle of a system of high surface pressure which means we are set for another bright and dry day.  the risk of any rain today is only 7%.

The downside is that the wind will be deriving from a more northerly direction so our top temperature will only be around 12c.   This is very similar to the daytime air temperature in 2016.   Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 7c.  Last night the air temperature reduced to a low of 4.9c at 03:53 hours.

Today will see plenty of bright spells through either a clear of fragmented cloud sky.  The cloud cover will increase during the early hours and this will help keep the area a little warmer overnight.

Today’s breeze, as previously stated, will start the day deriving from the NNW but as the day passes the wind derivation will move slowly anticlockwise.  The wind will end the day deriving from the WSW.  It is this later wind direction that will help form the overnight cloud cover.  Today’s average wind speed will be around 5-6mph.

Summary for today : An often clear day.  A little cooler than of late but still  mild and dry.
