As we reach the end of another month (and this year’s Halloween) it is another morning with the air temperature below freezing point at the time of my observations (approximately 06:30 hours). The minimum overnight temperature was 0.7c at 03:53 hours).
This morning’s commute will, therefore, be made on roads and paths that could have some frosty / icy patches on them so care needs to be taken.
It will take a few hours for the day to warm up but, by this afternoon, we should see the thermometer reach the 10c mark. Overnight will see some cloud cover increase which will help maintain the minimum temperature up to 6-7c.
There is a 40% risk of some rain during the small hours of tonight / tomorrow morning.
Today’s breeze will be light with the average speed being around 5mph. The prominent wind direction will be from the SSE.
Summary for today : A frosty start to the day but warming slightly as the day passes.
