Change in wind direction. (WS7 weather report 17-11-2018)

There had been some light rain in our area before I made my observations at 07:30 hours this morning.  The likelihood of further measurable rain today, however, is only around 13%.

The first thing to note about today is that the wind direction has now moved from a predominantly southerly direction to a more easterly dominated source.  This wind direction will bring with it cooler winds.  I did discuss the steady decline in air temperature over the remainder of the month in my post yesterday and the easterly wind direction will be a major reason for this change.

Our top temperature today will be around 10c and overnight the minimum air temperature will be around 4-5c.  During the day we will see some brighter spells that will help lift the spirits.

Today’s breeze will be light and deriving from the E/ENE.  The average wind speed will be around 6-7mph.  At this wind speed our top temperature of 10c will feel more like 8.1c.

If you are looking for a ride out today you may wih to consider visiting the St Giles Hospice Christmas Fair.
