It will get cooler (WS7 weather report 21-11-2018)

It is a cold start to the day and, looking at the synoptic charts, the temperature is likely to drop down to near freezing point overnight tonight.

Today has seen some early morning rain fall in our area and we are 60% likely to see another shower or two today before dry weather moves into our area this afternoon.  Looking at the rain radar images the most likely period of rain this morning will be around 11:00 hours.  Despite the early and overnight rain; this month has only seen around 50% of the rainfall we normally receive by this time in a November month.

Our top temperature today will be around 6c but as I said earlier in the piece tonight’s minimum will be around 1 to 0c.  This day last year the early morning air temperature was a sizzling 12.8c!

Today’s breeze will be deriving from the ESE for much of the day and the average wind speed will be around 6mph.

The remainder of the week will remain cool with a top temperature of around 6c.

Summary : The coolest day for a while.  Some rain likely this morning before becoming more settled this afternoon.
