It is another relatively mild start to the day.  The air temperature at 06:23 hours was 4.7c.  In contrast, at the same time last year, the thermometer was reading a chilly -3.4c whilst in 2016 the reading was 1.1c.

Today will see little movement in the thermometer as the hours of daylight are getting increasing shorter.   Sunset today is around 15:52 hours.  Today’s top temperature will be around 6c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 2-3c.  Last night’s minimum temperature was 4.1c at 04:06 hours.

The synoptic charts show that a high pressure system will remain over our area today and this means that we are set for another generally dry day.  The risk of any rain is only around 12-15%.   It will be often cloudy with the odd brighter spell along the way.

Today’s breeze will be deriving from the ESE and the average wind speed will be around 5-7mph.
