It was another extremely mild start to the day when I made my observations at 07:51 hours this morning. The air temperature was already in double figures at 10.6c and the overnight low was only 9.6c at 03:58 hours.
In contrast at 09:24 hours on the same day in 2016 the air temperature was -3.9c!
The surface air pressure will remain high throughout the day. The rain radar images do show a small rain cloud passing through and to the south of area around 10:30 – 11:00 hours this morning but even this system will only bring a 20% risk of rain. The remainder of the day will be dry with the risk of rain no greater than 11%.
We will see some bright spells develop from time to time but, due to the breeze direction it will be an often cloudy day.
The breeze will be deriving from a WSW-WNW arc and the average wind speed will be around 8-9mph.
Summary : Another mild and dry day with some brighter spells too.
