It was a very mild but overcast start to the day with the air temperature at 09:00 hours at 7.6c. In 2017 we were ‘enjoying’ below freezing point temperatures during the morning.
Today is going to be an overcast day with some breezy and rainy spells. At the time of my observations the air pressure was reducing rapidly which is a clear indication that these two events are likely.
Looking for further confirming evidence I can see that there are a number of rain cloud clusters heading our way and by mid afternoon we are 76% likely to have received some rain. Our top temperature today will be around 9.5 -10c. Overnight the minimum temperature will be a mild 6-7c.
Today’s breeze will be deriving from the SSW and the average wind speed will be 10mph with gusts up to 25 mph. This wind speed will make 10c feel more like 5-6c due to the wind chill factor.
Summary : A generally cloudy but mild day with some rain likely. Breezy too.
