Glorious back to school day. Weather, air quality and air quality report for the Hammerwich, Burntwood, Brownhills, Lichfield and Walsall areas. 19 April 2021.

It is a gloriously sunny start to the day as the schools, in general, return back to work after the holiday session.

The day will see plenty of brighter spells with thin cloud or no cover.

The thin cloud cover will allow the maximum air temperature to raise up to 15-17c. Overnight will reduce to around 4-6c. This is a little milder than of late.

Despite the thin cloud cover the risk of rain is only around 5% today.

Today’s breeze will be light giving us pretty much “full value” from our air temperature. The breeze will derive from the ESE with an average speed of 5mph.

Because of the steady air pressure and low ( but steady) breeze values the air pollutant level is moderate and the pollen count is low to moderate.
