It is a cool but very sunny start to the day in Hammerwich.

As the day passes the cloud cover will increase but the likelihood of any rain today before sunset is only around 15-20%.

Today’s top temperature will be around 10-12c but with the wind chill this will feel more like 8-10c. This is nearly half the top temperature we should be expecting this time of year.

Today’s breeze will be deriving before sunset from the W-NW and the average speed will be around 7mph.

The air pressure will remain stable throughout which, again, points to stable day weather wise.

It is later in the day that we see the change when the jet stream (see image below) moves from the current general West to East orientation to looping from the NE mixing with warmer air from the southern areas. This will lead to wide spread rain overnight and tomorrow.

Today’s air pollutant level is low and the pollen count (tree pollen) is moderate.
